You are right, too. Both conceptions (to play with allround or defensive ) has their advantages and disadvantages. With allround-speed rubber you have more attacking power, but much less control.With defensive rubber is more difficult to attack, but you have fantastic control, precision and safety.I like wery much slow topspins with wery-wery much spin,too;when i made them with a lot of force,i win the point immediatelly,or i can smash the ball decisivelly on the next;the slow spinattack-topspin is a great weapon! And you can play best this topspin with defensive rubber, because to this shot is wery important to have great control.i like wery much to prepare this kind of topspin with precise, heavy chops near the table, and when my opponent s return is longer, i play this topspin;this strategy puts in a great difficulty many opponents .

Hi! :) Do you have enough attacking power with your 1,0 rubber? I played with tackiness C 1,1on pure DEF blade(stiga tube defensive, a wery slow defensive blade), and recently with Tibhar Super Defense 1,5 on the same blade, but then i made my soft faster ( to something ALL- or ALL) because i had difficulties to make enough dangerous attacks.I could to make spin-attack (pure spin) topspins with those thin rubbers, my opponents had great difficultyes to return them,and good smashes, so i had some pressure near the table. But i want to put pressure on my opponents from defensive distance( 3meters and up), too, and i think from here is too difficult to make enough dangerous attack with a DEF rubber (1,0 to 1,5), that s why i put a faster sponge (BTY Tackyifire-C 2,1); with this i can to chop enough well (of course, not so well than with an 1,0 or 1,5) and i have much better attack.
